LAW 704: Advanced Copyright

The goal of the course is to add to the understanding of copyright gained in the introductory course that serves as a prerequisite. This goal will be accomplished in three ways.  First, students will read and discuss some of the case materials that were not covered in the introductory copyright course. Next, students will reconsider some of the core topics covered in the introductory course but go into greater detail by reading new cases in the same line as well as reading statutory history and other supporting materials that undergird the leading cases previously studied. Finally, students will read some of the major theoretical writings on core copyright topics covered in the introductory course. Pre-requisite: Copyright  [2]

Note: Students may not enroll in both Law 704 and Law 929 (Virtual Worlds, Social Networks & User-Generated Content Seminar)
