LAW 783: Constitutional Law of Crime and Punishment

This course will explore the constitutional constraints on crime and punishment, with an emphasis on federal constitutional law and U.S. Supreme Court jurisprudence. The focus will be upon constitutional limits on the definition, classification, and grading of crimes, and the limitations on the government infliction of punishment. [3 credit hours]
