Nicholas Baumgartner and Kristin Reith were married in Oxford, England on August 9, 2008. Vanderbilt alumni in attendance included Elsa and Kevin Bourgois-Bertouille, Kathy (Thomas) and Michael Denehy, and Yuki and Kazunori Fuse. Nicholas is a corporate attorney in the London office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and previously worked in the firm's Frankfurt and Hong Kong offices. Nicholas and Kristin, also an attorney, currently live in London.

Allen Woods will lead the transactional section for Woods & Woods in Nashville. Before joining Woods & Woods full time, Allen worked for Boult Cummings, the third-largest law firm in Nashville. Prior to law school, he worked for Solutions Corporation of America, a healthcare consulting firm addressing special issues related to government regulation. He also worked as a special assistant to former Tennessee Fifth District Congressman Bob Clement.

Ricky Bedoya was married to Michelle Burns in December of 2006. In February of 2007, Ricky and Michelle found out they were expecting and decided to move back to their home state of Florida. Ricky left the Dallas law firm of Locke Liddell and accepted a position in the commercial litigation department of Holland and Knight in Jacksonville, Florida. On October 30, 2007, Ricky and his wife Michelle welcomed their first child, Lina Isabella.

casperbrian  Brian Casper has joined the Nashville office of Adams and Reese as an associate in the litigation practice group. He was previously an associate with Schulman LeRoy & Bennett, in Nashville for five years. He focuses on patent litigation and intellectual property.

Miles E. Hall has joined Fish & Richardson's Atlanta office as an associate in its Patent Prosecution Group, where he will continue to focus his practice on all aspects of patent prosecution and strategy pertaining to the life sciences, particularly in medical technologies. "Miles is a great addition to our patent prosecution and counseling team," said Nagendra Setty, Managing Principal of Fish & Richardson's Atlanta office. "His experience in life sciences and medical technologies will be beneficial to our clients in this growing industry."

 

Stephanie R. Wolfe has joined Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti as an associate in the labor and employment group. She is also experienced in commercial litigation and internal investigations. She previously worked as an intern for the Honorable Robert D. Sack of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Joe P. Leniski, Jr. and his wife, Kate, were blesssed with the birth of identical twin girls, Anna Sophia and Margaret Katherine, on June 29, 2007. Joe is presently a partner at Branstetter Stranch & Jennings, practicing litigation.

Raakhee Biswas Kumar and her husband Roy proudly announce the birth of their baby girl, Mirabela Kiran Kumar, born August 22, 2007.

Maria Renee McKinney has joined Blank Rome as an Associate in the real estate group based in Philadelphia. Maria joined Blank Rome from Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz, where she served as an Associate concentrating her practice in commercial real estate financing, asset-secured lending, commercial property sales and acquisitions and commercial leasing. She also represents individuals and corporations on single-site and multi-site real estate transactions involving healthcare facilities, industrial space, general office space and shopping centers. In addition, Maria counseled clients in general corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations, new corporate formations, limited liability corporations and partnerships. Maria is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Tennessee.

Diedre Gray and Michael Gray (A&S '99) announce the birth of Audrey Chase Gray on April 11, 2007. They live in St. Louis MO.

Gerard and Patty Stranch ('05) proudly announce the birth of their son, Daniel Augustus Stranch, on September 12, 2007. They live in Franklin, Tennessee.

Joey Dickson has joined HealthTrust Purchasing Group in Nashville as corporate counsel. For the past three years, he has served as general counsel at Nashville-based television retailer, the Shop At Home Network.

Camille Penniman and her husband John announce the birth of their daughter Parker Rose on June 19, 2007. Camille joined the legal department of Sabre Inc., the parent company of Travelocity.Com, in November 2006.

 

Raakhee Biswas married Roy Kumar on November 25, 2006. The traditional three-day Hindu wedding was held in New Orleans, Louisiana. Raakhee is currently practicing with the Environmental group of the Washington DC office of Baker Botts. Roy is Chief Resident of Radiology at Tulane University Medical Center & Hospital.

 

McInteerMatthew Matthew McInteer has joined the trial and appellate practice group of Nashville office of Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis.

 

Carrie Von Hoff and Paul Von Hoff gave birth to Christopher Daniel Von Hoff on May 2, 2006. They live in Evanston, IL. Carrie also recently joined the law firm of Karbal Cohen Economou Silk & Dunne in Chicago as an associate.

Maria Renee Moran married Ross McKinney on October 28, 2006. The wedding was held on Fisher Island, Florida. Law school classmates in attendance were Ginger Appleberry, Catherine Corless, Kristy Godsey Brown, and Jeff Geldens. Maria Renee is currently practicing with the Real Estate group of the Nashville office of Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz.

Arnaud Tribhou passed the New York bar in February, 2006 and has moved from France back to the U.S. where be hopes to find a job either in Washington D.C. or New York.

LepeneScott Scott Lepene has joined the firm Benesch Friedlander Coplan & Aronoff as an associate in the Business Reorganization Practice Group.

 

Lee Dickinson has joined Dollar General Corporation as a senior attorney.

KillebrewAmelia Amelia Killebrew married Mr. Gilbert Calvin Steindorff IV, of Montgomery, AL on September 30, 2006 at St. Mary's-on-the-Highlands Episcopal Church in Birmingham, AL. Amelia practices as an associate attorney at Adams & Reese in Birmingham. Gilbert, a graduate of University of Virginia School of Law, is an associate attorney at Haskel, Slaughter Young & Rediker in Birmingham.

 

Laura Domm Taaffe and husband Dwight welcomed their first child, Thomas, on March 17, 2006.

Russell E. Stair and Sara R. Hendrickson were married July 29, 2006 at Christ Church Cathedral in Nashville, where the couple are members. Russell is an attorney with Bass Berry & Sims in Nashville.

 

Kahliel R. Barlowe has been named Asst. General Counsel with Tennessee Department of Children Services in Nashville.

JonesDianna Dianna Renea Jones has joined the Houston office of Greenberg Traurig as an associate.

 

Robert N. Rust IV, is an associate in the Charlotte, North Carolina office of Moore & Van Allen, practicing with the business team. His law practice encompasses a variety of transactional fields, with an emphasis on merger and acquisition representation.

Neena Shenai recently completed an internship with the Rules Division of the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. Neena is now an associate in the International Trade Group of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom in Washington D.C.

Courtney Ellis Felts was married on December 2, 2005.

Timothy W. Hoover married Amy C. Martoche on September 3, 2005. Tim is an assistant federal defender in the Office of the Federal Public Defender in Buffalo, New York. The coupled honeymooned in Costa Rica.
