Larry Ahern is Managing Partner of the Nashville office of Burr & Forman and a member of its Creditors' Rights and Bankruptcy Group.

An expert in creditors' rights and bankruptcy law who is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, Professor Ahern has been certified since 1994 as a business bankruptcy specialist by the American Board of Certification and the Tennessee Commission on CLE & Specialization.

He served as Visiting Professor (Banking and Secured Transactions) at Cumberland School of Law in Fall 2002.

A frequent speaker and author in his fields of practice, he authored Thomson/West's three-volume Secured Transactions as well as Bankruptcy Procedure Manual and the Bankruptcy Exemption Manual. He teaches Secured Transactions at Vanderbilt Law School.
