Nancy Hale has 24 years of legal experience as an attorney with the Internal Revenue Service, where she addresses civil tax, criminal tax and bankruptcy issues, including trial experience before the United States Tax Court and experience with rule-making and policy matters in the Chief Counsel national office. Ms. Hale has received numerous awards, among them the James Markham Award, the highest honor given to Internal Revenue Service attorneys.

At Vanderbilt Law School, Professor Hale teaches Tax Practice and Procedure.
