Robin Mitchell Joyce is a partner at Milom Joyce Horsnell & Crow, representing a widely diversified group of international entertainment, business and technology clients in all areas of content creation, branding, licensing and delivery. Her personal representations include music, book and magazine publishers, record, film, television and technology companies, recording artists, songwriters, film, television and record producers, entertainment executives, venture capital companies, and entrepreneurs in the creative industries. Professor Joyce maintains a fully integrated multi-platform practice, assisting her clients in accessing the entertainment industry, developing new entertainment projects, and forming the creative and business relationships necessary to deliver quality content to consumers in all possible ways.
Professor Joyce is a member of the Board of Directors of the Alliance of Artists and Recording Companies, Leadership Music, and is a past Governor of The Recording Academy. She is on the Executive Committee of NARAS's Entertainment Law Initiative and a Fellow of the Nashville Bar Association. She was the founding chair of the Entertainment Section of the Nashville Bar Association.
Throughout her 20-year practice she has consistently advocated cooperation, rather than competition, between the music, film, television and technology sectors and often serves her clients and her industry as a skilled negotiator and an effective predictor of entertainment trends. A former Assistant Attorney General for the State of Tennessee, Professor Joyce is admitted to practice before all Tennessee state courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
