Suzanne Kessler

Suzanne Kessler is an entertainment attorney and documentary filmmaker. During her tenure at Universal Music Group, she directed business and legal affairs for A&M Records in Hollywood and served as Vice President of Business Development for UMG's Nashville operations. During law school, Professor Kessler won first prize in the Nathan Burkan Memorial Competition for excellence in copyright law research and writing, sponsored by ASCAP. Her recent film credits include co-producing the A&E Network documentary "Hairdos & Heartaches: The Women of Country Music," and producing and directting "Boxing with the Bard: the Making of Marcus Hummon's 'Surrender Road'" for the Nashville Opera Association.

At Vanderbilt Law School, Professor Kessler teaches Entertainment Industry Transactions and Intellectual Property Licensing.
