Biography

Don Welch is an active scholar and teacher in the field of ethics and public policy. He has authored four books, including a history of Vanderbilt Law School released in 2007, and written on legal education and the intersection of law, ethics and policy in a variety of law journals. Dean Welch joined the Law School as Associate Dean in 1984, and holds a secondary faculty position in the Graduate Department of Religion. In addition to his substantial administrative responsibilities at the law school, he teaches interdisciplinary courses on law, ethics and public policy, and his courses draw students from the Vanderbilt's Graduate, Divinity, Business, Nursing and Medical schools as well as Vanderbilt's Public Policy Studies program.
