The Vanderbilt University Law School Democrats exist to advocate Democratic ideals and principles at Vanderbilt University Law School and to connect students to Democratic politics at the local, state, and national levels. Within the Vanderbilt University Law School, we will work to offer students with varying perspectives an outlet for lively debate on political and legal issues as well as participate in political organization and activism in the greater community. We will also reach out to other campus organizations through discussions, debates, and speaker events. As Vanderbilt University Law School Democrats, we believe in progressive democracy and will encourage students to enter careers of civic leadership and public service. We welcome people with different backgrounds and ideas, and firmly believe that diversity of thought is an essential element of a vibrant and robust democracy.
