International Law Society2008/2009 Officers
The society is open to all students at the Law School, whether or not they are concentrating their efforts in transnational studies. Organized in 1966, the society is intended to foster interest in transnational legal studies, and to provide an opportunity for all students to inquire into transnational problems outside the formal classroom atmosphere. As a member of the International Law Students Association (ILSA), which is a non-profit association of law students, the society provides various opportunities for participation at the national level in the ILSA. ILS is also a member of the National Association of Student International Law Societies (ASILS) and an affiliate of the American Society of International Law (ASIL). ILS coordinates a speakers' program and sponsors both social activities and academic programs for its members. There is an annual awards banquet for students participating in activites associated with international legal studies. |
